A great brief helps us deliver the best result as quickly as possible

An excellent brief helps us deliver the best result as quickly as possible. It also ensures that we reduce the chance of having to ask you for more details, which can, in some instances, lengthen the time we need to complete your order.

What does it take to write a great brief?

1. Let us know the specifications of your presentation.

  • If you have uploaded multiple files, please specify which one we should work on and which ones are supporting material.

  • If you want us to deliver your presentation in a different file format from the one you uploaded, please let us know what it should be.

  • If you want a different aspect ratio for the presentation, you upload. The most common ones are 16:9 (standard for modern screens) or 4:3 (the older square TV format).

  • Any specific fonts or colour schemes you want us to use

  • Whether you prefer us to create illustrations or use stock photography

  • Any specific instructions for a particular slide or file that should be different from the others

2. Clear expectations

Please let us know your expectations. Should we make the slides look professional or casual? Could you let me know if you're going to use it for a presentation in a large room or online?

It would be helpful if you could describe the industry of your company if it is relevant to the presentation.

If you’d like us to perform a different treatment for a particular slide - for example, you want most of your presentation to have the ‘fix up’ treatment, but one key slide to have a full redesign, let us know here.

If you have a hard deadline (a date you need the final presentation), please let us know so we can make sure we can deliver a draft and have time to complete any revisions you request.

3. Concise and simple writing

Having a concise and simple brief helps ensure we understand exactly what you want. We also highly appreciate the use of common words instead of industry-specific ones.

Using bullet points instead of long paragraphs really helps us understand the brief. Again, it saves time and minimises the chance of any misunderstanding.

What files should be attached to the brief?

The main file we need is the presentation file you’d like us to design. The preferred format is PowerPoint or PPT (normally with *.ppt or *pptx extensions) for a normal presentation project. We can also work with other file formats, such as PDF, DOC, Keynote, or JPEG.

You can also attach other files, such as a CVI, custom fonts, reference material, stock images, logos, and any other relevant files. These files can be uploaded as individual files or compressed in ZIP or RAR formats. Please specify what we should do with each file in the brief as well.
